   Cueva del Milodon
This attractive National Monument is to single 24 km to the north of Puerto Natales following the route the Torres del Paine National Park. Here between the caverns and eaves rocky do 12.000 years before the present lived bands on collectors hunters associate to a particular prehistory fauna, between which project the Milodón Darwin, unique in its species in the world and which extinguished for approximately 5.000 years before the present.

In 1895 were pieces of skin of this animal in very good state of conservation to the interior of the cave that takes its name. The Milodón Cave comprises next to other two caverns and a conglomerated rock stranger denominated the Silla del Diablo, to the Milodón Cave Natural Monument administered by the Conaf. A museum of site located to the entrance of the Natural Monument shows paleontological, archaeological and morphologic history of the area. They complement these services an interesting footpath that culminates in a panoramic viewpoint on the Milodón Cave. Antecedents on the Milodón Cave the dimensions of the cavern are of: 80 Mts. of wide, 30 Mts. of stop and 200 Mts. of depth.
