It is the capital of the commune of Towers of the Paine. Is located to 57 km to the Northwest of Puerto Natales by route 9 north. It has a population of 400 inhabitants, who in their majority develop cattle workings. Great part of their constructions dates from century principles and belonged to the Cerro Castillo ex--stay considered most extensive of the continental part of the region of Magallanes. In season spring - summer traditional cultural events are made, such as it shears, roundup, races to the Chilean, tames of colts, etc. Cerro Castillo forms a typical town of the Chilean Patagonia. Hill Castle has the identity of a typical town of the Patagonia .
